OK Gang, here’s this year’s training grid. This grid will get you up to speed for the High Sierra Fall Century on September 10th. The HSFC is ‘hilly’ (>6500 ft of climb over 96 miles) so be sure to emphasize climbing. Should you decide to opt for the Lighthouse Century, you’ll have 2 extra weeks. The Lighthouse Century offers a ‘flat’ and a ‘hilly’ course. If you choose the latter, make sure you get in 3500 — 5000 feet of climb on your long (60+ mile) weekend ride (easier than it sounds). If you goal is Tucson, stay tuned: we’ll modify the August grid and the weeks to follow. Most important: STAY SAFE and HAVE FUN!! BANZAI!!!
